Hirelo Demo is hiring a DevOps Lead to guide the team that builds and runs our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production reliability practices. This role sets the direction for how engineering ships software safely and keeps our services dependable for the customers who rely on them.
As DevOps Lead at Hirelo Demo, you'll manage a small team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers while staying close to the technical work. You'll own our cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, observability stack, and incident response process. You'll partner daily with product engineering leads to remove friction from builds and releases, with security to keep systems hardened and compliant, and with engineering leadership to plan capacity and control cloud spend. Expect to review infrastructure changes, mentor engineers through on-call and postmortems, and turn recurring operational pain into automation. You'll work on-site with the Engineering department in the USA, where you can collaborate in person with the teams you support.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and develop a team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers, including regular one-on-ones and growth plans
- Own the design and operation of cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines so engineering teams can release reliably and frequently
- Define and track service-level objectives, monitoring, and alerting across production systems
- Run incident response and on-call rotations, and lead blameless postmortems that result in concrete fixes
- Work with security and engineering leadership on access controls, patching, and compliance requirements
- Monitor and reduce cloud costs through capacity planning and right-sizing
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience running production infrastructure on a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience leading or managing engineers, whether as a people manager or a technical lead with direct mentoring responsibility
- Strong working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker and Kubernetes or similar)
- Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management in a production environment
- Ability to work on-site at our USA location; this role is on-site and not remote or hybrid
Nice to have
- Experience supporting security or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2
- Background in cost optimization or FinOps practices
- Scripting or software development experience in Python, Go, or a similar language
- Experience scaling a DevOps or platform function as an engineering organization grows
